• Lee County, Florida: A deputy was fired for using excessive force and lying on official documents about it. He approached a woman during a traffic stop with his gun drawn, used profanities, and forcefully pulled the woman from her vehicle. None of this information showed up in his report. • Rockledge, Florida: An officer was arrested for attempted manslaughter for shooting a teen burglary suspect who had already surrendered. He resigned. ow.ly/Llns309yBcL

• Miami, Florida: An investigator sustained a complaint that will now be passed on to a full review panel for further investigation. An officer is alleged to have taken advantage of an elderly man by drawing up a will for the man and naming himself the sole beneficiary of the man’s estate. • Update: Seattle, Washington (First reported 02-24-17): An officer pled guilty to drug, solicitation, and computer trespass charges.
