- Ellis County, Texas: The sheriff resigned and pled guilty to assault for an off-duty fight at a fast food restaurant. He joined a fight his brother had started. He was sentenced to one day in jail and ordered to pay a $500 fine. ow.ly/ufY3309K6qz
- Jefferson County, Colorado: A now-former deputy was sentenced to six years in prison and five years of parole after his guilty plea to securities fraud. He gave real estate and investment advice to colleagues and others without a license and then pocketed much of the money—about $617,000—that was meant to be invested. ow.ly/Mgob309K6VC
- Update: Orange County, Florida (First reported 07-05-16): A now-former deputy pled guilty to stalking and bribery for acts against a transgender sex worker. He had been accused of rape and other abuses. He was stripped of his law enforcement certification as a result of his plea. ow.ly/KUl1309K8GD
- Rockville Centre, New York: An officer was charged with felony assault for beating a man in the head with a Taser during a bar fight arrest. ow.ly/PmFn309K9Oq
- Update: Owasso, Oklahoma: A now-former officer was acquitted of excessive force for beating a suspect with the butt of a shotgun. The incident was captured on dashboard video. This was his second termination and prosecution for excessive force. He was reinstated with back pay by a labor arbitrator after his last acquittal.
