Here are the eight reports of police misconduct tracked for Thursday, March 16, 2017:

  • Update: Los Angeles County, California: Now-former sheriff Lee Baca was found guilty of obstruction and other charges for lying to investigators into the department-wide corruption scandal.
  • Cincinnati, Ohio: An officer was arrested for carrying an AR-15 and acting as an officer while drunk and off duty.
  • Indianapolis, Indiana: An officer was arrested for OWI in his personal vehicle while off duty.
  • Cleveland, Ohio: An officer was suspended 20 days for being armed while drinking in a bar off duty.
  • Walker, Louisiana: An officer was suspended three days for hanging a noose in the department. It was found by a black officer.
  • Dallas, Texas: An officer was fired for using excessive force, using profanity, violating procedure, and disabling his car’s camera.
  • West Jordan, Utah: An officer was arrested for domestic violence.
  • Update: New York, New York (First reported 04-29-16): Two officers were acquitted at a bench trial for beating a postal worker in the wake of a fatal ambush of police officers. The victim had inadvertently given the murderer directions shortly before the attack.
